Description
Magnolia has evergreen or deciduous species, growing up to 30-40 m. The leaves are simple, leathery and cross-venulate with entire margins. Flowers bloom prior to foliation in deciduous species. On the other hand in evergreen species, the flowers bloom in May-August. White, pink, red, purple or yellow flowers are showy and fragrant. It is generally planted as a solitary.
